Tradition. Experience. Community.
Serving Central Pennsylvania with experienced, personal legal counsel since 2003.
A Legacy of Service to Central Pennsylvania
Stover McGlaughlin was established on August 1, 2003, through the merger of two well-respected Centre County practices: Novak, Stover & Furst and Dunaway, Weyandt, Gerace, McCormick & McGlaughlin. The merger brought together decades of combined legal experience and deep community roots under one roof.
Today, the firm maintains offices in both Bellefonte and State College, Pennsylvania — the two anchors of Centre County — staffed by four attorneys supported by eight dedicated team members.
Our attorneys were trained at leading institutions including Dickinson School of Law, Ohio Northern Law School, Villanova Law School, and Penn State Law, and bring practical, real-world expertise to every client matter.
As central Pennsylvania attorneys, we routinely handle matters in Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Huntingdon, and Mifflin counties, as well as the U.S. District Courts and bankruptcy courts for Pennsylvania's Middle and Western Districts.
Our Philosophy
At Stover McGlaughlin, we believe that outstanding legal representation begins with outstanding relationships. We combine first-rate legal advice with detailed personal attention to every client — continuing a tradition of excellence established by our predecessor organizations.
We are not a high-volume practice. We are a team of dedicated professionals who take the time to understand each client's unique situation, explain options clearly, and pursue outcomes that genuinely serve our clients' interests.
This approach has earned us the trust of clients across five counties — and recognition as Centre County's Gold Best Law Firm in 2024.
